We return to you today with another request to visit and support one of our contributing musical artists.  Joshua Penman’s project, known as Akara, plays with startlingly beautiful territory he calls “mystical dancefloor symphonies.” The Akara Project album in the works comprises a score for a chamber orchestra of two violins, viola, cello, flute, french horn, harp, Indian mandolin, and  harpsichord; Akara has already drawn many fans through its layered composition and rich use of textured electronic and acoustic sound, and we can’t wait to hear what else they have in store.

Their IndieGoGo campaign has lots of fantastic premiums for contributors (guest lists, early access to the completed album, and much more!) and the music (featured in the fundraiser video) is out of this world. Please visit and contribute if you can!
